I am in Braintree this week for a technical writing summit for work. I created rubber ducky
name tags for all of my co-workers. Each attendee was assigned a rubber ducky that they got to keep.
They really brightened our meeting room. You can imagine my surprise when I also received a ducky
from a co-worker and learned about a new rubber ducky store. I wish I would have had time to visit
this trip or during my January 2020 trip. Next time for sure.

Theodore Roosevelt was the 26th President of the United States from 1901-1909. Now I'll have to

collect the rest of the Presidents. Obama was my first one. I just received Trump too!

Make 2019 the year that bullying ends!

I would wager a guess that Junior High School is the year that the most bullying occurs. I was
bullied in grade 8 and my best friend moved away this year too. Bad timing. It wasn’t extreme
and I was able to handle it by just ignoring the perpetrators. It was after all only words and
thankfully not physical bullying, but both can be painful. Hopefully today more people get help
and are able to stop bullying.

I am not sure if the Number 1 student is part of this set, but I didn’t see another bullying duck for sale.
I was at the end of the duckies, so the sets are not complete. The Oriental Trading duckies always
come in sets of 4 or 6. Sets of four are more common.

Obama Ducky is a great leader. Obama is to date my favourite US President. Michelle Obama had her book out this
year and is even going to have a book signing in Vancouver. She is a great role model too. Obama is my very first
President rubber ducky.

Who knew that I would actually enjoy the Elf on the Shelf Christmas tradition as much as I did. My
daughter even managed to one up the elves a few times. She would take what they did and make it even
better and bigger before her brother, sister, or I woke up to see what the elves were up to.

Elf on the Shelf rubber ducky loves hanging out with the official Elf on the Shelf, Elfie. They are great friends.
Sometimes Elf on the Shelf Ducky causes quite a raucous. She does have a green outfit and rumour has it that
if your elf wears green then she gets into even more trouble. It's officially the last day that either elf will move. They
are off to the North Pole now. Until next year. Merry Christmas!
