Even though we’re attached, it’s important to spend quality time together.

I bought these ducks with my friend and fellow ducky collector back when we were in Junior High. It’s hard to say whether this is a ducky keychain or chick keychain. These ducks have flapping wings and quite the jowls. They also have smaller beaks (possibly for pecking grains). However they are wearing pink inner tubes with blue ducks stencilled on the outside. They might just be wearing these so they can pose as rubber ducks.

One king to rule all the kingdoms. 

I love being king. I get the best meals in all the land, but I also invite the poor people to the castle for supper too. I am a nice king and I try to what is right for everyone. My wife, the Queen is great. We have been married for 10 years. My Knights are very loyal. Apparently we are all part of some Fairly Tale ducky set, but being a king is not a fairy tale. It is a real job. The pay is great, but my life is always at risk too.

"Who is the fairest of them all?"

There is no greater feeling than sitting upon my throne. Don’t get me wrong. It is a lot of work being a Queen. Sometimes I am manipulating and I have to make hard decisions. However, I never tire of the ball gowns, wearing pink and getting my feathers washed and brushed daily.The life of royalty is definitely the life for me and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. My crown is also very pretty, but weighs a ton.

Brooommmmm Vrooommm

These two rubber duckies are still available in quite a few toy stores. They might be Schylling brand but I don’t have the tag on them anymore. They were within in the first 20 rubber duckies that I ever bought.

Purple Hat Ducky: “After church today, let’s go for a car ride.” Blue hat Ducky: “Sweet, idea. Let’s pack a picnic lunch and head to the beach.”

Both these duckies always seem to be looking out to the left and they both have a quilted pattern on their wings and a slightly rosie patch on their wings. They look like they are dressed in their Sunday best.

I love jumps.

It was warm enough to go outside today and enjoy the snow (which is rare in Edmonton), so we went tobogganing in the ravine. We don't have an old school long wooden toboggan, anymore so we used crazy carpets.

G.I. Ducky loves going sledding and snow tubing at ski hills. He also likes building snow people too. He has light green, dark green, lime green and brown military print on his body. He has an orange beak and baby blue eyes.The quote on the box says: “Don’t be a sitting duck.”

Let’s hit the slopes

While I am teaching kids how to make a pie with their skis to slow down and how to turn, I can see the kids admiring my festive attire. I have green skis and poles and love my red and blue jester toque and red goggles. Goggles are a must for low visibility days. Since I live in B.C., it’s often not too cold for skiing at Mt. Washington. I love skiing in just a vest so my wings can flap freely in the mountain breeze that I create. I also love getting to the top of the mountain and admiring the huge scoops of vanilla ice cream weighing down the pine tree branches.

Let’s hit the rails.

Snow, snow, snow. Yipee! While some people complain about the road conditions, I think think about the slope conditions. There is tons of snow in Edmonton today and I am planning on hitting up Snow Valley or Rabbit Hill tonight. I love moguls, jumps and railings, but it’s very important to always wear a helmet. I have landed on my head a few times (and still ended up with a mild concussion). After a hard day, boarding in the mountains, I love warming up in the hot tub. Since I’m so light, the jets spin me right round quite a few times before I get dizzy.
