My posts for the rest of the year will be limited to a select few. My husband and I and our 2.5 year old and 5 month old just moved provinces (Alberta to BC and Edmonton to Victoria). We have only been in our house for one week. I almost have both the bathrooms set up and Ducky Shower and Bath mat was my most recent purchase this weekend. The mat is patterned with a classic looking rubber ducky (he also looks like a Bath and Body Works ducky or Ernie’s ducky). There are a total of 18 full size duckies on the mat.

Zombie Apocalypse Ducky is part of a set of 4 with these duckies. He has pink hair and what appears to be vampire fangs but really they are the only two teeth that haven’t fallen out of his mouth yet. He got the star shaped tear in his shirt from walking through a bakery and running into a sharp cookie cutter. Yes, that is blood on his forehead.

For Halloween tonight, we went to the Qualicum Beach pumpkin walk and got to see fireworks and Trick or Treat at some businesses in the daylight (which is a great idea for a 2 year old and 4.5 month old who get tired fast). Happy 2013 Halloween everyone!

I was shopping in downtown Parksville today with my sister and mother-in-law when we came across and eco home decor store that I thought might sell rubber duckies. Sure enough, I found one and an eco friendly organic teething cloth for my son too.

Alfie junior ducky was made in Spain. He is called junior because there is also a king size Alfie version of him. He is BPA, phthalate and PVC free. He doesn’t squeak but also doesn’t collect water in the tub so you don’t have to worry about mould collecting in a hole in his bottom or through his mouth (like some ducky squirt toys). He is also made of 100% natural rubber as well. This ducky looks similar to a Lanco ducky or another style of ducky I have seen before.

She is about the size of a mouse to such large birds but they don’t mind her company and she can keep up.

This half duck have birdy or maybe all birdy Barbie toy is from a little girl whose family we stayed with while travelling around the world in 2009. I know I did my last RTW ducky posts a few weeks ago, but I debated if I can count this ducky as a duck or if it is a bird. I have to blog it because I didn’t find any rubber ducks in France and it was very sweet that on our last day the family we stayed with for free gave me this toy for my collection. I’ll always have fond memories of the Etretchy Family. We enjoyed bonding with them over cheese from Normandy (the best cheese I’ve ever had). They taught us how to eat cheese with just a tiny sliver of French bread and a large glass of red wine.

I am not sure where I got these little tiny yellow plastic ducky earrings from. I’m stuck on you.

I think Ducky Coaster was taken from a picture of a myriad of duckies floating in a pond. The coaster is a ceramic tile. The only down side is when I put a glass of ice water on the coaster and forget to unstick it before I pick it up my glass. This results in the coaster crashing back onto my desk and nearly breaking. This can be quite the wake up call. The coaster is tough because it’s still in one piece.

Don’t get me wet. I don’t want to die.

Purple Soap Ducky has a fear of water. She does not want to get wet, slippery and then disintegrate and die. She wants to remain a display soap for as long as she can. She’ll happily sit near your bathroom but not in your bathroom. If she is in the bathroom, there is a constant fear that she could accidentally slip into the tub or the sink and meet her demise.

My husband found me Car Antenna Ducky a few years ago. He was out and saw this styrofoam/stress ball material ducky stuck through the antenna on a car. He explained my passion for rubber duckies to the car’s owner and the car owner donated to the cause. I thought about putting his ducky on my car, but I didn’t want to lose him. This ducky has been through a lot. My daughter accidentally tore his head off twice (you can see the hot glue gun marks around his neck).

Bubble Necklace Duckies all look the same. The ducky bubbles still in the package are from Carlton Cards. They are part of an Easter set with the chick and egg stickers inside. These bubbles don’t work very well but my 2.5 year old daughter enjoys pouring them out all over the sidewalk and wearing just the wand part of the necklace. The necklace is attached to the wand instead of the bubble container on most of these. You can thank me later for getting the annoying bubble song stuck in your head. It has been stuck in my head all day.

Hard Boiled Egg Holder Ducky makes great hard boiled eggs. She carries one at a time on her back, cleans her feet well and then mushes up the eggs with her feet for her sandwiches. She owns a farm and serves lunch 3 days a week and brunch two days a week. Every item on the menu is made from scratch with food that she grows on her farm. You can also buy eggs from her chickens and purchase milk from her cows. She has rather close set eyes and always looks a bit baffled but she is really nice and is a great cook.

Turn the bathroom into a sauna.

The Toilet Brush holder Ducky is part of a complete bathroom set with a garbage can and soap holder etc but I only bought the toilet brush holder. The Tissue holder ducky was featured in a different post but he is a spotlight hog and really wanted to get into this post too. The Tub Soap holder ducky is a great soap holder that I used in our shower for a while. He has a drain in the bottom of the tub so the soap can dry completely (and doesn’t go all mushy). The toothbrush holder ducky looks a bit like a bird but he holds a single toothbrush and suctions to your mirror or shower door. Overall these duckies make a great bathroom cleaning team.

During our 2009 trip around the world, I found Rubber Ducky Note Paper and Tabs at a high end stationery store. I’ve used a few of the tabs in scrapbooks and journals and they work great. A ducky tab can add the perfect amount of cuteness to a baby journal. Ducky Note Paper would make a perfect set of flashcards for learning another language. These two items are the last ducky related items that I purchased during our trip around the world.

During our 2009 trip around the world, I bought this purse from a store called Bones in Crysta Nagahori, which is an underground shopping area between metro stops. When I first started using this purse, I felt like I was using a kids purse but then I got used to it and was able to pull it off. Slippery Soap.

Ducky Bath was used to bath both of our kids. It was a great tub and I have since passed it on to one of our friends. Baby bath tubs are great but like most infant gadgets, they are only useful for a short period of time. Usually, it is such a short period of time that you wonder if you really needed the item. Sinks also work great for bathing babies or you can get in the tub or shower with your baby to help support him or her.

Pull Toy ducky cannot be pulled very far due to the short leash on his baby, but he waddles along and waddles along well in the tub too.

This post sounds like an ebay advertisement. Often, duckies are sold by the case lot. The buggy eye ducky is the second ducky in the second row on the right and he is rather creepy. There is a toothbrush ducky and some dollar store duckies. Most of these generic duckies are some of the first duckies that I bought or were given to me. You’ll have to not mind the group picture. Wooden Mobile Duckies are from a great little market that has amazing produce and really cool products such as soups, cheese, candied salmon etc. There are also goats on the roof of the market. They love listening to the frogs and crickets at night and watching over sleeping babies.

I love to climb mountains, roofs, steep embankments, hills, and buildings, but my favourite thing to climb are trees. I have climbed trees in Cathedral Grove. A 20 foot tall tree was the first thing that I climbed when I was a tot. I had to climb it to rescue my sister’s pink Barbie frisbee. I’ve also climbed to the top of the Empire State building. I wear my lucky visor for every climb. I’ve never had to use it, but on my tail I have a little tag that sticks out. This is my extra catch for balance in case I am ever falling. I know that this little tag would definitely save me. I can also put a rope through this little tag to haul myself up.

Delta Hotel Ducky is a cross between a Bath and Body Works rubber ducky and Ernie’s rubber ducky. She is related to both of these duckies so that is why there is such a resemblance. Delta Hotel Ducky loves to take the water taxi and would love to become a water taxi driver one day. She sometimes swims along beside the water taxis during the Water Ballet. Eight pm is her favourite time of day because she joins the kids at the Delta hotel for milk, cookies and story time. She also likes to sneak up on guests in the hotel pool and hot tub.

Foamy Ducky is a foaming spray bath soap. She makes a great gift for kids ages 2 to 3. I bought Foamy Ducky for my daughter’s second birthday and for a few of her friends second and third birthdays. Once you have used up all the soap, you can remove the ducky from the aerosol can and use her as a bath toy. I love ALEX brand bath toys.

Her purse contains 2 pink tic tacs, Watermelon gum, red lipstick, a comb, a tampon and her wallet. She is holding a beer and a statue of the Rheinturm from the gift shop. She works at Rhine tower. It is a telecommunication tower that has a digital clock going up the tower.

Dutch salty black licorice is the best.

Deutch Ducky is all white and lights up blue. She has many cool patterns on her. There are two sets of flowers, two windmills, three sets of kids kissing and three cows. She loves eating the saltiest of black dutch licorice. She used to work full-time making wooden shoes but now she is retired. She loves spending time outdoors and even though they are a weed, dandelions are her favourite flower.

Kölner Dom 

Cologne Cathedral Ducky is holding the two towers which are 157 m tall. He is an excellent tour guide. I am not sure what he is wearing around his neck. It could be a coat of arms.The Roman Catholic church began construction in 1248 but didn’t open until 1880. It is beautiful Gothic architecture and after you have seen it, even you will be raising your eyebrows like this ducky.

Green Hat Leprechaun Duckies from Dublin are best friends with Leprechaun Ducky. The three of them have been reunited at long last. In 2009, they saw Leprechaun Ducky get snatched off the shelf by a Canadian. Now, in 2013 they were also snatched off the shelf by two Canadians who reunited them. They have had a great summer in Canada and can’t wait to rake up and then jump in the maple leaves this fall. They are also looking forward to snowboarding.

British Bobby Ducky from London

In case you were wondering like I was, British police officers are called “Bobbies” änd “peelers” (which I had never heard of until now) because Robert Peel started the police force in 1829. The “ER”on the British Bobby Ducky’s hat stands for Elizabeth Regina and Regina is Latin for Queen. British Bobby Ducky enjoys visiting the museum with his ducklings. He is quite proud of his job. However, he has a weakness for fish and chips and malt vinegar, so he needs to get back into running. If you look closely at the picture, you can see that the buttons on his jacket are a bit crooked because his belly is stretching them.

I like to be off duty.

I have the best sister-in-law in the world! This summer she travelled through Europe for 6 weeks with her boyfriend and bought me 7 rubber duckies. They took up quite a bit of real estate in her backpack, but she kept duck hunting. After this post, the next 5 posts will feature these duckies.

Princess Neuschwanstein Ducky has 6 real white flowers in her hair and the ends are curled in perfect locks. She has a wedding dress on and is about to become a Queen. Her figure is perfect because she is a princess and lives in the castle that Walt Disney modelled Cinderella’s castle after. She has as much clevage as the Octoberfest Ducky from Zurich. These two duckies are both Bavarian. She enjoys attending Octoberfest every year (it gives her a chance to go on vacation and be off-duty.

Long hair I must tangle you.

I have been called many names including clip, thing a ma jiggy, barrette (the most old fashioned and my favourite), bobby pin, damn you, owe, ouchie, ow, come on, for the love of God, Jesus and my personal favourite argggghhh. I am just a lowly innocent looking ducky hair clip. However, I love long hair. The longer the better. I get in there and cause pain to the wearer. I twist, turn, pull, perform triple twirls - whatever it takes to cause tangles, knots and pain to my wearer.I am guilty of causing quite the grief and I am not the slightest bit remorseful.

Ride until I puke.

My friends bought me this ducky while they were on vacation. Mouse Ducky is part mouse, part duck but mostly a mouse trapped in a duck’s lower body. He has a tail but has mouse bucked teeth and mouse ears. He always has his arms straight up in the air so he is always ready to ride the roller coasters. This little mouse is the mascot of the park. Europa Park looks like it would be really neat to visit. Each corner of the park is a different theme and there are 8 different roller coasters at the park.

Einstein Ducky loves the TV show the Big Bang Theory. This is where his Purr kitty lunch box is from. If you look closely at the lunch box, you can see the kitty is wearing a collar made up of atoms. Einstein Ducky’s favourite character on the TV show is Sheldon. Einstein Ducky has quite the hair. It takes a lot of gel to style it every day. He is dressed up for a charity fundraiser, so he is wearing a suit and bow tie.

Paparazzi Ducky is the third bud ducky I have that has a removable hat. His hat has a pencil in the belt and a press tag. He is wearing a tie and cuff links and always dresses in 1920s garb. His camera is visible but can also be neatly hidden under his jacket. His favourite song is lady gaga's "Paparazzi." Rumour has it that she wrote the song after she bumped into him at a bar one night.

Hunter Ducky loves playing with water guns. He has been known to initiate some awesome water fights. His team always wins because he is great at sneaking up on people and hiding. When he isn't having water fights he is out hunting. Red plaid and green plaid shirts are his favourite winter cabin gear. He wears clothes that blend in with the outdoors for hunting.

The really cool thing about this ducky is that he is the second bud ducky I have whose hat comes off. My daughter was playing with him and was quite impressed that his hat comes off. Bikerman mini bud ducky also has a removable hat. I wonder what other bud duckies have removable hats?

Whistle Ducky loves being blown. He has always been a big party animal and insists on being the centre of attention. He loves helping lifeguards at the pool and watching everyone turn to look at the lifeguard and then at him. He usually gets quite the attention from the kids at the pool. Every summer, he goes missing at least 3 times because kids take him and hide him.

Suck Suck

Soother Ducky is 4 months old. She has long eyelashes and is wearing a white bonnet. Her purple beak and blue soother match her bib. She is a soother ducky and also likes to suck on the thumb of her wing. It would be even cuter if her webbed feet had little booties on them.

My son is two months old today. He doesn’t like soothers but he likes to suck his thumb.

Twinkle twinkle little star...

I was recently sorting through a lot of old printed photos and I found a picture of me opening Night-Light Ducky on my birthday in 2003. Night-Light Ducky loves providing light in the bathroom for little ducklings that have to use the potty in the night. She also likes to sing nursery rhymes but her all time favourite song is “Twinkle, twinkle little star.”

The family that cooks together eats healthy.

Black and Blue Family Duckies love to cook meals together. They make their own butter chicken and samosas from scratch. Pad Thai and shrimp salad wraps with peanut sauce are their favourite dishes. When they aren’t busy cooking, they go mountain climbing. The black duck is the mom and the blue duck is their son. The son looks just like his daddy.
