Last year I bought a package of 10 of these mini duckies in red and pink. This year I bought another package so that I could have the cute turquoise rubber ducky too. This size of ducky works well in snow globes or for any craft project. Vday mini duckies love making homemade Valentine’s for their friends.

The sail boat featured in this blog post is my Valentine’s Day gift from my husband and my daughter. They made it out of driftwood and leftover rubber ducky material from blankets that my Grandma made for my daughter when she was little. Homemade gifts are the best. Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone.

Be Mine Ducky was hatched one day before Valentine's Day. She was struck by You’re Mine Arrow and they have been dating for a few years. There is a candy heart on her bum that says "More love" and a few ducks have tried to bite her bum to get a taste. She has a bob style hair cut and she flips the ends out with her round brush. There is even a heart barrette in her hair. She has red eyes and a red beak. Her skin is pink. At one time wearing pink and red together was a fashion faux pas but I don't think that is the case anymore. If you look closely at this ducky, you will see that her body is in the shape of a heart and she has her tail tucked in.

I love Harlequin romance novels.

I love romance novels. I’ve read all the Harlequin romance novels from every serious. Some of them are so steamy while others are just dreamy. There are a lot of naughty ducks out there and 50 Shades of Yellow is in a category all on its own. I am quite the romantic and my husband Duckio loves it. I once lit over a 100 candles in our pond and each one was floating on its own lily pad. We were quite the talk of the community. The frogs weren’t impressed with us.

Personally, I think heart-shaped jewelry is tacky, but I Heart you Ducky is a huge collector of heart shaped jewelry. She even has the Best Friend heart shaped necklace, earrings, bracelet and ring. She has 13 lucky white hearts painted on the outside of her body. If you look deeply into her eyes you can see the moon and a star. Her beak is a slightly darker shade of red than the rest of her body and she has really tiny shelf-like wings. She has a very strong squeaker that can be heard from far away.

If you were thinking that she might be able to be yours this Valentine’s Day, then I have bad news. She is taken and already has a girlfriend ducky. They plan to get married next year on Valentine’s Day.

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I will be showcasing all my Valentine’s duckies this week and next. There are a lot of different Valentine’s Day duckies and I am sure that I don’t even own half of the Valentine’s duckies that exist.

The red sweetheart ducky is the bow. He is raising his eyebrows at the girl ducky. The white ducky is the girl. She is wearing red beak stick and is batting her blue eyes at the boy.

Poem on the bottom of their box:

“Far away, in the land where unicorns prance and rainbows dance and the sun shines everyday on a happy little pond, you will find a magical breed of ducks called Sweetheart Duckies. [this may be the longest sentence ever] When these ducks meet their mates and fall in love, little hearts begin to appear on their bodies. With that being said, these duckies have been together for 27 years.
