For $15.00 of claw game fun, we received a great haul for our money. We managed to grab onto 2 stuffed animals, 11 rubber duckies, and 11 Minions. This was with our entire family taking turns which consisted of a 36 year old, 35 year old, 6 year old, 4 year old and 2 year old. We could see that all the adults were having just as much fun as the kids were trying to line up the claws to grab certain duckies. We were trying hard to get a pink pirate rubber ducky with a pink heart eye mask, but she was too close to the edge and it was hard to knock her down. Alicia also managed to almost get the heart eye emoji pillow numerous times, but it kept slipping through. A little boy did offer to give her one but she declined. She was quite happy when she scored the kitty cat stuffy though. I had a blue number 3 ducky, but he bounced out on the plexi-glass rim before he made it into the shoot.

Random Uniform Ducky is quite interesting in his orange and black referee shirt but then he also has a white sailor or maybe police cap on and a tie. Maybe he an officer with a safety vest? There is nothing quite like a ducky in uniform. There was a green one in the machine too. I have some mini camo duckies but this my first purple camo ducky.

At the beginning of June, we discovered that Alicia is a natural at the ducky claw game. We spent $13.00 and received 22 duckies and 4 stuffed animals. She perfectly grasped the heart eyed ducky and we managed to move some other duckies out of the way, so we could collect a total of 5 different Emoji duckies. It looks like there is a set of 6, so we were only missing the purple winking emoji ducky. The next time I visited the machine, there weren’t many duckies. However, we managed to get the last emoji ducky in the set, so now I have the complete set of 6!

On July 31, 2016, we went to see the Emoji movie. It was cute. Which is the most popular emojj? Heart eyes or happy face or poop?

It was tough to say if I was more excited to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 (an excellent movie) or to play the ducky claw machine for the very first time. I spent $11.00 and received 19 duckies! On my first try, I received 2 duckies, on my second 3. I'm not much of an arcade or video game player, but I am proud to say that I was better at going for volume and Colin was better at aiming for and grabbing specific ducks to complete the Colourful Poop Emoji ducky saga. I am not sure if I have them all now or if there are more that exist. I'll visit the machine again soon when the rest of the emoji ducks are closer to the top of the machine. I hope they refill the machines with duckies again!

From text messaging to instant messenger to Facebook comments, emojis have become the communication norm. They are now available as pillows, purses and the face of beach balls to perhaps the most exciting of all - as a rubber ducky.

Earlier this month, I received a text message for a friend asking if I was home and then telling me to look outside at my lamp. Tucked into my lamp was the one and only Poop Emoji rubber ducky! Of course now I need to collect them all. Since I wasn't very successful with the claw ducky game in Washington, I think I will need to hire my husband to play and win me some ducks. We have been meaning to go and see Guardians of the Galaxy forever, so when we go we will play the ducky game. Poop Emoji Ducky is number 1100 in my collection.

He is friends with the wanna be poop lookalike Peeps Birdie.
