Blue Disco Ducky has quite a few lights in him and is the fastest flashing light ducky that I have. I wouldn't recommend looking at him for long because he is hard on the eyes. He flashes blue and red and it almost looks like he has more than one light inside him. He is a translucent blue so the light is really noticeable. He is quite popular at disco night at the bowling alley. During his Saturday night shift at "The Dive" bar, he lights up while he makes hi-balls and pours shots. He is a more expensive flashing ducky because he has a large round pad on his bottom instead of the typical two metal prong sensors. His head and eyes are shaped a bit like an alien.

Flashing Bath Pal Ducky likes to spend his weekends fishing for walleye and Jack fish at Little Fishing Lake in Saskatchewan. Tomorrow he leaves for vacation and is going to fish for salmon and halibut on the Pacific Ocean in Tofino. After that he is going to sail the Greek islands and make fresh calamari. He is considering changing his hobby into his career.

Stop bullies.

Trio of Pink Duckies started an anti-bullying program in their school this year. They created pink hats and sweatshirts as part of the campaign. They also created pink ducky inner tubes for floating down rivers. The ducky in the middle of the picture is wearing an inner tube. The Department 56 ducky (first ducky on the left) was bullied as a child because she was not a typical looking ducky. The ducky on the far right is a light up ducky. Once she is activated she glows for a long time.

USB Light up Ducky from Tokyo

I look pretty but I don’t hold data.

There are a lot of fancy USB keys in Japan. Think of them as jewelry for your computer because none of them hold any data. They just look pretty. In addition to rubber ducks, there were dogs and cats. The dogs were not in a flattering position and were doing something that wasn’t very nice to your computer. Of course, no one would do that to a friendly little innocent ducky.

USB Light up Ducky from Tokyo looks like he is the same brand as this ducky from Chicken Scratch. They are twins.

“I’ll brighten up your bathtime.”

In January this year, I bought these two light up duckies from Bath and Body Works. They are a bit pricey in my opinion since they are smaller than the standard size Bath and Body Works ducks. However, they are such bright shiny spring colours that I just had to have them for my collection. The lime green is one of my favourite shades of green. The turquoise ducky reminds me of the Aegan sea in Greece. I want to retire to Greece one day.

These duckies are sealed well at the bottom so they can go in the bathtub with you. However, once the lights or batteries burn out, you can’t open the bottom of the duck to replace them.

I last longer than the energizer bunny.

Flashy Ducky slowly lights up white, pink, purple, blue, yellow and then red. Next she repeats all these colours really fast in a flashy light show. There doesn’t appear to be a way to replace the batteries in these flashy ducks. This would have been a nice feature. However, they are safer for kids to play with because the batteries cannot come out. My daughter plays with this ducky lots and Flashy Ducky has not run out of juice yet.

You light up my life.

I was in Bath and Body Works in Southgate mall last week and they have a small pink light up ducky in their typical style. Surprisingly, I didn’t purchase it because I thought it was too similar to this ducky.

Light Up Ducky has two sensors on the bottom of her. When you rub your fingers over her sensors, she flashes pink, purple and white. She also lights up if you smash her against a hard surface. My daugher loves to play with this ducky and I am impressed that she hasn’t run out of juice yet. Once she does, she will no longer be a light up ducky because she is glued together and it would probably destroy her if we had to change the batteries.

Light up Ducky is all pink with black eyes. She has distinct feathery wings that have lots of detail.
