Sunday is the day of church.

Lead Singer and Painter Duckies are good friends with Artist Ducky and 80s Singer Ducky. They are both devoted Christian’s and go to church every Sunday. Lead Singer Ducky has been singing since choir in grade 4. He can also play the clarinet and trumpet. Painter Ducky wants to be the next Picasso.

The Cyclone waterslide is the best.

Tube Ducky and Orange Ducky love riding the waterslides at West Edmonton Mall. They highly recommend renting a Cabana for the day so you can store all your things, have your own table and chairs and your own bathroom too. It’s nice to get a cabana on the less busy side with the perfect view of the bungee jumpers and the 3 most extreme slides: the Screamer, the Cyclone and Nestle’s revenge. Their favourite slide was the Cyclone because it almost goes upside down in a loop. They also loved floating in the waves too.

Tube Ducky isn’t a perfect circle. She opens at the back so it’s easy to put her on a off your child. My daughter loves wearing tube ducky around the house.

Mad Scientist and Vampire Duckies

Experiment

It’s a little odd that these three vampires all have horns on their heads. I am confused by this. I have never seen a vampire with horns. The girl vampire has the blue hair, blue polka dots on her wings, pink horns and is wearing the pink sleeveless shirt. The green haired vampire ducky with the green spots on his wings and brown shirt and horns is her brother. Their uncle is the balding mad scientist ducky holding the flashlight. He does all his work in the dark. The cool Danny Zuko looking vampire ducky in the black leather jacket with the brown hair is the blue haired vampire’s boyfriend. 

They are a tight knit family and like to scare kids on Halloween night. Every year, they volunteer at the haunted house in their neighbourhood. They all have a bit of a clearish greenish glow to them and that is because they all glow in the dark too.

Shiny Knight Duckies

These two Shiny Night Ducks are exactly the same except that one is a shinier than the other. The ducky on the left came with the Fairy Tale ducky set that I ordered off ebay. He is a dark grey. The ducky on the right is a shiny silver Knight and he came from the vending machine at WEM. I am wondering if he is a rare ducky. In some duck collections a gold or silver ducky is hard to come by.

This style of ducks squirt water from their mouths, but they do not float straight up in the tub.

Animals are as fascinated by people as people are by them. 

The complete Safari Ducky set also includes a tiger, zebra, and lion. I am not a huge fan of rubber ducks that look like animals so I don’t have the complete set. I received these ducks from the machine by random chance. The Safari leader ducky is wearing a great safari hat and an Indian Jones dress shirt. The monkey ducky is holding a banana and the elephant isn’t holding anything but he may squirt you with water

During our next around the world trip, we are planning to go on an African safari.

Hockey Duckies from WEM

Interests: Refereeing hockey and practicing for the NHL. We are currently on amateur teams.

I am not a huge fan of watching hockey games, but I have a few girlfriends who are really into hockey, so I don’t mind watching hockey with them. I am not a huge fan of all the fights that are allowed. I think this sets a bad example for kids. It’s hockey, not street fighting or boxing.

The Hockey Ducky in the black uniform has been in a few too many fights so he has a permanent gouge between his eyes. The Hockey Ducky in the navy blue jersey plays fair and doesn’t condone fighting (as a result his face is cleaner).

Save the ducky cheerleader; save the ducky world.

On Sunday, January 08, 2012, we took my daughter to Galaxyland for the first time. Children 2 and under are free but only one adult can accompany each child on rides. Alicia loved going on the rides. However, I think what she loved even more was watching me plug 13 tonnies into a rubber ducky vending machine. I turned the crank and one by one each ducky rolled into my cupped palm.

The first rubber duck down the shoot was Purple Cheerleader Ducky. She has a purple bow on the side of her head and a D on her dress for the Ducky cheer team. Unfortunately, her pom poms are not as pouffy as they used to be because she was squished into a little clear plastic ball. The second ducky shown in the picture is the Purple Cheerleader Ducky's side kick. She is identical to her friend except she is holding a megaphone and has a bit more white on her dress.
