This is the year. This is the year that I get all my duckies in a row. I want to shout out a special thanks to a fellow collector for suggesting I use spice racks (3 tiers) to organize my ducks. I can fit many more ducks per shelf now. My youngest daughter, 10, even wrote a math equation (in her Grade 5 class) about my rubber duckies. “How many spice racks do you need to organize 200 rubber duckies? How many duckies fit per spice rack?”

Here is an after photo of the same shelf that now fits 35 Bud ducks with room for expansion.
When I first set up my ducks, I filled the shelves and forgot to account for expansion.
The Bud ducks used to have hats that came off. However, the latest ducky that my husband and daughter bought for me in London 2 years ago, has an attached hat. How disappointing. I am sure it is part of shrinkflation. I love that most of my mini bud ducks have interchangeable hats.
I can’t wait to buy more spice racks (from Thrift stores, Facebook Marketplace, and VarageSale) to complete my ducky organization. Once my ducks are all in a row, I’ll do a head count and figure out my complete collection number. I haven’t counted since 2018. Stay tuned.
