Happy 156th Birthday Canada! I purchased this ducky on Dec 06, 2020 from the online Canadian store in Toronto. A ducky collector I met in a Facebook group asked if someone in Canada could purchase this ducky and mail it to Australia and I did. I also sent her Canada Day Ducky too and she sent me Watermelon Ducky from Australia. Mini Canada Day Ducky loves to hang out with Poop duckies and other Emoji duckies from the vending machines including more Canada Day flag duckies that I have not blogged yet either. I have fallen behind on my collection documenting.

Mini Canada Day Ducky has sat in a bag in my office waiting for a spotlight blog post. However, I am creating a special Canada Day ducky shelf on my bookshelf so that she has been blogged she will have a home. I hope you all have a fabulous Canada Day! Bearded Pat is not to be confused with his cousins Carrot, and Patrick. Although, he brings them to the ballet sometimes as well. Bearded Pat loves attending ballet performances. The Victoria Ballet is his favourite. Tonight he is going to see Amadeus. 

Shortly, after their photo was taken, a giant cat named Jack walked through their crocus patch and tossed one of them up in the air. It was quite traumatic. They all went for a few sips of Guinness to recover. Happy St. Patrick’s Day 2023!

Valentine’s Day 2023 Trio Duckies

Brand: It doesn’t say. There is nothing on the tag or bottom of the ducky except “Made in China” and Montreal, Quebec, Lot 232

I love that the trio has pink beaks as their signature theme. Hugs and Hearts ducky is the white ducky with purple and pink accents. She even has 4 varying size pink hearts on her wings. Light Pinky Unicorn is a great variation of a unicorn duck (I have quite a few unicorn duckies now). Hot Pink Love ducky has two small hearts on her wing.

I love that these duckies are the same style as the 2022 Dollarama Halloween duckies and Christmas duckies. I can’t help but wonder if there was a 4th Valentine’s Day duckie or a 4th Christmas ducky because my friend in Edmonton found a 4th Halloween ducky at Dollarama for me and maybe my location did not get this ducky in or sold out before I saw them. Although, I did purchase the Christmas duckies on Halloween so they were fresh on the shelves.

I have high hopes that there will be Easter duckies too and I am surprised the stock is not out yet as St. Patrick’s day stock has been out for a while, but I did not see any St. Patrick’s Day duckies. Let’s keep each other posted.

Happy lucky Friday the 13th and National Rubber Ducky Day! Today, called for Chucky Ducky. I love the Chucky movies because Chucky is so cute and slightly creepy at the same time. Chucky is the perfect ducky to represent National Ducky Day on a Friday the 13th. Chucky is my second Tubbz rubber ducky.

This is my scariest rubber ducky that I received for Christmas. Chucky is in the Gingerbread murder scene bus. My father-in-law built this amazing bus gingerbread at our children's request.

Last year at the beginning of 2021, I participated in my first ever ducky exchange with someone in Australia. She mailed me some Australian duckies and I mailed her some Canadian duckies. In addition to the amazing Australian ducky, she sent me this Watermelon rubber ducky and a confetti cupcake rubber ducky too.

Watermelon Ducky is the special ducky of the day for National Rubber Ducky day today.

Last summer, my daughter’s friend gave us this beautiful watermelon painting that she painted in Grade 4. It looks great next to watermelon rubber ducky. There is nothing quite like the sweetest, juiciest, most perfectly ripe watermelon on a hot summer day.

Even though the big group event was cancelled for the Polar Bear Plunge this year,

I did not plunge alone. Constable Canard joined me (he flew in from Montreal)It was my 7th plunge and her first.

It was 0C, but with the wind chill it felt more like -1. The lagoon had a thin layer

of ice on it and there were a lot of waves too. The ocean felt as refreshing and

breathtaking as ever, but the air was shocking.

Constable Canard is from Montreal and loves her maple syrup

and tobogganing too.
