The Easter Bunny ducky was hatched on Easter morning of course. She has a pink beak, eyes and pink inside her ears. She has a soft cotton tail and a carrot on her bum and the year 2002. Sometimes she has trouble staying white with all the chocolate she has to deliver. She also likes to give children Spring toys such as bubbles, sidewalk chalk and sand toys. After all, too much sugar isn’t good for you.

Lamb ducky loves eating Caramilk filled eggs at Easter time. He’s also a fan of ham too. He loves organizing Easter egg hunts for his kids. The harder the clues and the more clues that lead to the big basket at the end the better.

Bunny ducky is not phoney. She is not wearing a headband bunny ears. The ears are really hers and so is her pink belly and fuzzy cotton tail. She loves participating in hopping races because she always wins. Her favourite Easter candy is Cadbury creme filled eggs (the commercials are true and she really can lay them).
Easter Egg Ducky’s favourite Easter candy is robin’s eggs. He is also hatching out of a robin blue egg. He loves hunting for Easter eggs. The best hiding place that the Easter bunny used one year was the very bottom of the pond.

I love decorating Easter eggs to match me.

Pink and Orange speckled ducky is currently dating Blue and Green Speckled Ducky. People often say that you look like your spouse after a while. This is definitely true for these duckies. They have been mistaken as twins before too. They look great in Easter baskets or as part of your Easter centerpiece with lilies, chocolate and decorated hard-boiled eggs. Despite being pink, her favourite colour is mauve and her favourite chocolate bunny is white chocolate.

Nickname: Medusa

The pink and blue HyperHead ducks are great stress relievers. You can stretch their hair insanely far. I have never had it snap. However, I have had them stick together before, but they are easy to restore if you put baking powder or talcum powder on them and you can give them a quick rinse with water and mild soap.

I lost the tag for the pink ducky but I have the tag for the blue ducky. His name is HyperHead Darryl and here is his story: “Darryl the Duck is soooo cool! The Light Up Squishy Head Ducky is cheaper than the HyperHead ducks but he does light up and he doesn’t feel like he could stretch as far.

Finally Ducky is very excited to have finally graduated from high school. It took him a few years because he had to repeat grade 12 twice. He has a diploma on his bum and was hatched on graduation day. He celebrated his birthday and after grad all on the same evening. It was the biggest, wildest beach bon fire ever. He is taking a year off to travel to Australia and then he’ll apply for college.

Glass Salt and Pepper Duckies

I have never seen rubber ducky salt and pepper shakers that are not glass but that would be really cool. Perhaps, I should invent them. These ducky salt and pepper shakers come with a ducky toothpick holder too. I think my friend bought these for me quite early on in my ducky collecting days. I can’t remember where she bought them and there is no brand name listed. They just say “Made in China” on the bottom which is pretty common for most ducks.

Glass Salt and Pepper Duckies look more like real ducks than rubber ducks. They have blue eyes, orange wings and yellow beaks. They are made of porcelain and I haven’t used them yet, but I probably will once we move and I have more room to spread out my duckies.

The Student Scientist Ducky on the left is a mad scientist in training. He is learning from his colleagues and sometimes has to keep them in line and bring them back to reality. He is a good listener and takes extensive notes. His curly brown hair and black sexy glasses are very popular with the ladies. 

The middle ducky is the oldest scientist ducky and is the craziest of the three, but he has discovered many findings for duckind. He is holding a vial of a very important antidote. The ducky on the far right is holding a red flask of an antidote that they are still experimenting with. His eyes are always bloodshot because he doesn’t sleep and works too many hours.

Purple Many Eyeballs Ducky has has 3 teeth that are below his beak, so he actually has two mouths. He has 6 eyeballs, two tentacles on his head and 6 octopus tentacles for arms and legs. He loves turtles and watching the baby turtles hatch in the Spring. 

Red Furry Monster Ducky also has a double chin and loves to eat. His claws are resting on his tummy because he just finished a huge meal of salmon and samosas. He loves curry and any food from Boston Pizza. He also loves listening rock and alternative music.

Hukilau

I have always wanted to go to Hawaii and almost got to go there for work once. I was so close to going that my husband had already booked his ticket too and then the trip was cancelled. I know the words to the Hukilau song and even performed this song in full Hawaiian dress at a work function.

Since today is the first day of Spring (which means nothing in Edmonton, it will continue to snow), I decided the luau duckies would be appropriate, so we can at least dream of warm weather.

The first ducky has his goggles on and is ready to float in the huge waves in his little life preserver. The ducky in the blue and green lei with the blue flower and grass skirt is my favourite. It’s odd that the ducky with the pink flower does not have a grass skirt. The ducky in the Blue Hawaiian print shirt looks like a tourist.

Vaccination and Hoody Ducky

Vaccination Ducky works at a health clinic and spend most of her day vaccinating ducklings. She is impressed when she gets the odd duckling who doesn’t cry. Most babies and children up to age 3 still cry when they receive vaccinations. She recommends that children should always be up to date on their shots especially before they go to daycare or school.

Remember Kill Kenny from South Park who always died in every episode. Hoody Ducky is the ducky version of Kill Kenny. He enjoys skateboarding and is accident prone, but thankfully has never died. During skateboarding and on three separate occasions, he has broken his wrist, ankle and arm.

Devil Duckies in Zen

Devil Duckies are their own series of rubber duckies. There are quite a few different styles. This is my complete collection of all the mini devil duckies that I own but I am sure that there are more styles available. I’m not sure if every style of the regular size devil duckies is also available in mini devil ducky form. It would be neat if the styles were different between the two sets, but I don’t think they are because I have seen these duckies in regular size too.

Mini Pirate Devil Ducky is all black except for his white horns, white beak and the white patch on his eye. Back in the day, he was a real pirate and had a boat and collected treasure. Now, he goes treasure hunting by geocaching. His favourite caches to get are the underwater caches. He is friends with these devil duckies and enjoys relaxing in the Japanese Zen garden with them.

Sláinte

Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone! When I was in Dublin, Ireland during our around the world trip in 2009, we toured the Guinness factory. It was very neat. The factory was in the shape of a pint glass and the tour ended by drinking a pint or half pint in the bar which was the mouth of the glass. Red Robin’s has Guinness milkshakes for St. Patrick’s day. There are Irish dancers on the google home page and Irish dancers playing at many bars in Edmonton today. So, put on something green and get out and celebrate.

The St. Patrick’s Day duckies work in the Guinness factory. They also get a discount on products. The ducky on the left’s nickname is Carrot. His beard and hair match his beak. He is wearing a 3 leaf clover vest and a green hat. The ducky on the right has a tattoo of a 3 leaf clover on his chest (he regrets that he didn’t go with a 4 leaf clover because it would have been luckier). It is tricky to tell what he is carrying on his back but I believe it is two wooden pint glasses of beer. He has them behind his back so he can surprise his friend with the fact that he actually bought the beer for once.

Twin Babies

I’ve always thought it would be so cool to be a twin or have twins. The Blue Baby and Pink Baby ducks are twins and were born on August 23. The Pink Ducky has a blue heart on her bum and the Blue Ducky has a pink heart on his bum. They both have turquoise eyes and green soothers in their beaks. The Baby Pink ducky was born a minute before the Baby Blue Ducky so she is technically older. Since they are twins and share everything, they also share the same poem.

He is wearing a very expensive sparkly green suit that has real gold speck in it-14kt. His favourite Casino games in order are: Craps, Roulette, poker and then $1.00 pull stick machines.

It’s a good thing Sitting Ducky has a high pain tolerance because he’s not a moving target. He is a sitting target. His bum is permanently bruised and I think there is some sort of black target aim thing on his bum. I am not really too sure what this symbol is. He was hatched on January 14th and is usually only used as a target in the summer. Even when he is a moving target he still gets hit. He can’t go anywhere (without snide comments being made) unless he puts on a jacket to cover his stripes.

They are both into the big hair and sunglasses. They each own about 20 pairs of sunglasses in varying shades and styles. The male 70s ducky has an afro and is wearing a gold star necklace. He is the first rubber ducky that I’ve seen with a mustache. The females 70s ducky is wearing big green diamond earring and white sunglasses. Her favourite colour is red.

Spice Ducky has chopped so many jalapenos, red, and green chilies that she doesn’t even feel the burn on her skin anymore. She makes the best salsa (with lots of lime and cilantro). She is wearing a green bandana to keep the sweat off her forehead while she cooks. It says Rubba Ducks on it too. What makes Spicee Ducky extra cute is the tiny little mole/beauty mark below her left eye. She is the second ducky I own that has a cute little mole. She was born on May 05 which is two days after my birthday and has a red chili on her bum. (I have thought that it would have been neat to save all my Rubba Ducks to blog on the actual day that each of them was born. However, we are in the process of packing up, staging and then selling our house to move to Victoria, so I need get my biggest duckies blogged and packed first).

I work as an esthetician. 

A friend from my work went to Croatia in August 2007 and bought me this ducky.The only reason I know this information is because she had a good idea to write this information on the bottom of the ducky. I have trouble writing in books and ducks (even on the bottom). Therefore, the only duckies I was able to bring myself to write on are the duckies that I bought while travelling around the world.

Raised Eyebrow Ducky has very subtle archy eyebrows. She loves giving facials so she can squeeze blackheads to unclog pores. After facials, plucking feathers and eyebrows is her next favourite task.

The travelling carnival.

The Carnival Duckies enjoy the life of performing and travelling. The Clown Ducky on the far left has a red squeaky nose and orange tufts of hair. He performs during the day and gets the evenings off. The ducky next to him is Mallard Ducky. Even though he is a rubber ducky he is often mistaken for a real ducky. He is a tight rope walker. The Stilt Walker ducky can only see out one eye with his long bangs but he walks on stilts during the afternoon and evening carnival shows. The PopCorn Ducky sells popcorn during the evening performances. He loves kettle corn. The Carnival Duckies are hoping to perform in the big time circus one day. Their pet cat Misty also travels with them.

Eddie Burger Bar in Banff and Deluxe Burger bar in Edmonton are my two favourite burger bars. I live for eating burgers and poutine. I have been to Quebec twice just for the poutine. I am a lucky ducky for having a high metabolism so I can eat whatever I want.

Pink Zebra Ducky is from the Bay. She came with a white washcloth in a container that says Glamour in the Bath. I am going to have to expand my duck hunting to include the Bay now. I used to check in the bathroom section of department stores for ducks, but I haven’t done that for a while.

I purchased Duckerina for myself and I purchased one for my friend’s daughter when she was born. She is now ten and still has her Duckerina ducky. I was in ballet when I was child and I had a mauve tutu. I remember getting lost backstage after the performance. It was scary.

Duckerina Ducky was born the day after my birthday on May 04. She has a pair of ballet slippers on her bum. The pink tulle around her ballet bodysuit is a nice 3-Dimensional touch. Her eyeshadow matches her bodysuit and her hair is swept up into an elegant bun.

He loves to race on hills and teaches other ducks how to ride the rails. He started a skateboard club at his school.

The girl skateboarder ducky loves riding down hills. She has flowers on her helmet and T-shirt and pink wing guards. She is riding her orange skateboard in the picture but she also has a huge skateboard collection. She owns skateboards in the following colours: pink, green, ducky print, floral print and a blue leopard print.

I need a paint job and a remodel.

We were in Banff on the weekend and I bought the last Lamp Ducky from the dollar store. I did not buy the purple ceramic piggy bank that looks a lot like a Bud duck. This is the first ducky lamp that I have ever seen. It is a bit cheap and his eyes look sad because he looks like he is crying. I have big remodeling plans for him. I am going to repaint his eyes so he doesn’t look like he is crying. I am also going to recover the lamp shade with ducky material. It’s so odd that the lamp shade didn’t come in a rubber ducky print. Flowers are okay but the more ducky the lamp the better.

Soccer Ducky

We went to Banff for the weekend and it was above 0 when we drove down but -2C with a snowstorm for our drive home. It took us 3 hours to drive from Banff to Airdrie. There were too many accidents and too many cars in the ditch to count. Our saving grace was stopping into a Smitty’s restaurant for a late lunch. I was instantly cheered up when we saw a vending machine of rubber duckies! I dug for a loonie and we received Soccer Ducky! My husband provided the next loonie, but nothing came out of the machine. It was empty! We received the last ducky

I have been searching for the Feelin’ Ducky vending machine ducks for over a year. Two summers ago, my friend bought me Eight Ball Ducky and Queen of Pigeon Lake Ducky. My brother also bought me the Twitter Ducky from a grocery store in Seattle. It seems small towns carry these duckies. Has anyone else seen these machines in Alberta or Edmonton and if so, where? These ducks are so popular, that you think they would restock the machine. I am driving to Calgary in April, so I am going to check back with this machine then. I think this is the 4th set of Feelin’ Ducky ducks and that a 5th set is now available.

I’d like to pull someone else’s strings for a change.

It is tiring dancing and walking on demand all day long. I don’t talk but I do move my head like those bauble toys. I love going for massages and I do yoga once a day. My muscles are often overworked, but I must smile to make the children happy. My current owner (a little girl) likes to drag me around the floor (this is a nice break from dancing). Sometimes I can even go unnoticed in the toy box for a few days. I really enjoy the rare vacation day here and there.

Bowler by day, superhero by night.

Superhero-Bowler Ducky is a blond superhero ducky by night but a natural brunette bowler by day. She bowls 5-pin and is the best player on her team. She is not a fan of 10-pin bowling because she finds the larger balls too awkward to handle.

As far as I know, she is not a replica of a particular superhero. If I had found her in time in my bins of duckies, I would have included her in the Superhero Duckies post. I might have more superhero duckies or I might not have the rest of the set if there are more available. I still have 4 bins of duckies to blog about. When I was in Junior High, my brother and I bowled on a 5-pin bowling team on Saturdays.

S’mores and grilled fish over the campfire.

Since it’s the first day of the month that brings longer hours of daylight and Spring, I decided it would be nice to celebrate by showcasing the Camping Duckies. The ducky on the left is Hiker ducky. He is wearing UV clothing, a hat that covers his ears and his day pack. He is also drenched in Deet mosquito repellent.

The ducky next to him roasting two marshmallow for s’mores is his son. He is in Cubs and has earned his camping badge. He is hoping the ducky on the right will teach him how to start a fire so he can earn his fire starter badge.

The next ducky is the fisher woman ducky. She caught two fish today and is going to grill them for supper.The last ducky on the right is Pyro ducky. He loves starting fires and often uses a canister of gasoline to create really large campfires. He likes burning palettes and has gotten in trouble from park rangers on more than one occasion. He is in Scouts.
